Broiled Italian Flank Steak

SteakTopThis week, I took on the flank steak challenge. Well, it’s not so much of a challenge, more like me buying flank steak and having no idea what to do with it.

Luckily, I took some advice from my flank steak-loving roommate and turned a tough piece of meat into a juicy and delicious dinner.

Broiled Italian Flank Steak

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

  • 1.5 pounds of flank steak
  • 1 cup Italian dressing
  • cooking spray

Step 1: Place flank steak in a heavy Ziploc bag. Add Italian dressing and coat the steak. Marinade in the refrigerator for one to two days.

MarinadeStep 2: Preheat broiler. Place marinated flank steak on a greased cookie sheet and place under the broiler. Allow to cook for 4 minutes on each side.

SteakStep 3: Let rest for 5 minutes. Slice steak thinly and against the grain.

Step 4: Serve and enjoy!

Steak FinalI’ve never broiled steak before, but it turned out amazing. The meat was super juicy and still pink in the center. Cooking the meat under the broiler was also incredibly fast and easy.

I served my steak with roasted red peppers and broccoli, but feel free to pair it with anything. Try it out and let me know how you liked it!
